How to bridge to Hyperliquid from Ethereum
Wallet users can't deposit Ethereum-mainnet USDC directly. Here are the three routes that work, and the one mistake that loses funds.
Hyperliquid doesn't take USDC on Ethereum mainnet from a connected wallet, so pick one of three routes: log in with email and send USDC on Ethereum to the deposit address shown; bridge USDC to Arbitrum and deposit it (minimum 5 USDC); or deposit ETH on Ethereum through Unit (minimum 0.007 ETH, about 5 minutes) and sell it for USDC. Sending USDC to the ETH deposit address fails.
The three routes at a glance
| Route | You start with | Login type | Minimum | Typical time | Main cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| A. Email deposit address | USDC on Ethereum | Email only | 5 USDC | Ethereum confirmation + Across fill | Ethereum gas + Across fee |
| B. Bridge to Arbitrum, then deposit | USDC on Ethereum | Wallet or email | 5 USDC (on the Hyperliquid deposit) | Bridge time + under 1 min | Ethereum gas, bridge fee, Arbitrum gas |
| C. Deposit ETH via Unit | ETH on Ethereum | Wallet or email | 0.007 ETH | About 5 minutes | Ethereum gas; then a spot trading fee to sell ETH |
Ethereum mainnet gas is the biggest variable on every route. Check your wallet’s fee estimate before you confirm, especially for small amounts.

Route A: Email login, send USDC on Ethereum
The simplest route if your USDC sits on Ethereum mainnet and you’re happy to use email login.
- Log in at app.hyperliquid.xyz with your email (6-digit code).
- Click Deposit and copy the deposit address, or scan the QR code.
- In your wallet, send USDC on Ethereum (at least 5) to that address.
- It arrives as USDC on HyperCore. Across Protocol handles the transfer, and you can track it at across.to/transfers.
If you send something other than USDC on a supported network, Hyperliquid’s docs say it’s redirected to your email wallet within about 10 minutes. You can reach it by exporting the email wallet key.
Route B: Bridge USDC to Arbitrum, then deposit
Use this if you connect a wallet (Rabby, MetaMask and similar).
- Bridge USDC from Ethereum to Arbitrum. Hyperliquid’s docs list several bridges for this, including bridge.arbitrum.io, app.debridge.finance, app.across.to, jumper.exchange, relay.link, swap.mayan.finance, routernitro.com and synapseprotocol.com. Hyperliquid doesn’t run these; each has its own fees and terms. Type the address yourself rather than clicking ads.
- Get a little ETH on Arbitrum for gas. Many bridges let you bring some across with your USDC.
- Deposit on Hyperliquid. Click Deposit, choose USDC, enter the amount (minimum 5 USDC), click Deposit and confirm in your wallet on the Arbitrum network.
Hyperliquid’s bridge docs say Arbitrum deposits credit in under a minute. If the bridge uses Circle’s CCTP, Circle quotes about 8–20 seconds for a fast transfer and 15–19 minutes for a standard one. The full deposit steps are in how to deposit USDC.
Route C: Deposit ETH on Ethereum through Unit
This route skips the USDC bridge entirely. You send ETH, and it shows up on Hyperliquid as a spot token you can hold or sell.
- Click Deposit on app.hyperliquid.xyz and choose ETH.
- Copy the Ethereum address shown. Unit, an independent team, operates it. The deposit window shows the estimated time.
- Send at least 0.007 ETH on Ethereum mainnet to that address.
- Wait about 5 minutes. The ETH appears in your spot balance as Unit Ethereum (ticker UETH, as listed in Hyperliquid’s API).
- To trade perps, sell it for USDC on the UETH/USDC spot market. Spot fees at the entry tier are 0.070% taker and 0.040% maker, and the minimum order is $10.
The same address accepts ENA on Ethereum (minimum 120 ENA). Nothing else works there.
Route D (for HyperEVM apps): bridge straight to the HyperEVM
If you want to use apps on the HyperEVM (Hyperliquid’s smart-contract side) rather than trade on the order books, Hyperliquid’s docs list bridges that go directly to it, including Stargate, deBridge, Gas.zip and Jumper, plus USDT0 and Stargate routes for USDT0 and USDe. Funds there are on the HyperEVM, not in your trading balance, and you need HYPE for gas. See moving funds between HyperCore and HyperEVM.
Common mistakes
- Sending USDC to the Unit ETH address. Hyperliquid’s docs give “USDC on Ethereum” as an example that fails. Unit’s revert tool (app.hyperunit.xyz/revert) may recover USDC, USDT or WETH sent this way.
- Sending ETH on Arbitrum or Base to the Unit ETH address. The address only accepts ETH on Ethereum mainnet. ETH sent on Arbitrum may be revertible; most other mistakes can’t be recovered unless Unit adds support.
- Depositing under the minimum. Below 0.007 ETH (or 120 ENA), the deposit is lost.
- Sending Ethereum-mainnet USDC from a wallet login. Only the email deposit address accepts it.
- Paying mainnet gas for a tiny amount. Gas can be a big share of a small deposit.
If something goes wrong
- Unit deposit shows “Failed” although you sent the right asset, on the right chain, above the minimum: contact Unit at app.hyperunit.xyz/support. Hyperliquid’s support team doesn’t run Unit.
- Across or email deposit missing: track it at across.to/transfers and check your email wallet.
- Bridge stuck: contact the bridge’s own support; Hyperliquid can’t see transfers on other chains.
- Deposit arrived but available balance is lower: if you have losing cross-margin positions, new funds go to their margin first.
Questions people ask
How do I bridge ETH to Hyperliquid?
Click Deposit on app.hyperliquid.xyz, choose ETH, and send ETH on Ethereum mainnet to the address shown. Unit runs this address; the minimum is 0.007 ETH and it takes about 5 minutes. It arrives as a spot token you can sell for USDC.
Can I send USDC from Ethereum straight to Hyperliquid?
Only if you log in with email: the email deposit address accepts USDC on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base and Polygon. With a connected wallet, bridge the USDC to Arbitrum first.
What is the official Hyperliquid bridge?
For USDC, Hyperliquid's docs name Circle's CCTP as the preferred way to mint USDC on Hyperliquid, with Arbitrum as the main route. ETH, BTC and SOL deposits are handled by Unit, an independent team. Hyperliquid's docs also list third-party bridges such as Across, deBridge, Jumper and Relay.
I sent USDC to my ETH deposit address. Is it lost?
Not necessarily. Hyperliquid's docs say USDC, USDT or WETH sent on Ethereum to the Unit ETH address, or ETH sent on Arbitrum, may be recovered with Unit's revert tool at app.hyperunit.xyz/revert.
