Short answer

Elysium is a general-purpose, high-performance layer-2 chain for Hyperliquid, built by Kinetiq on Arbitrum Orbit, that settles to HyperEVM and uses HYPE as gas. Not live yet: as of November 4, 2026 only the testnet runs (chain ID 99801), mainnet is scheduled for November 9, 2026 per Kinetiq, and Kinetiq has not yet published a mainnet chain ID. The official site is elysium.kinetiq.xyz.

Is Elysium live?

Not yet. As of November 4, 2026, Elysium mainnet is scheduled for November 9, 2026 (per Kinetiq); only the testnet (chain ID 99801) is live. The mainnet chain ID is not yet published by Kinetiq as of November 4, 2026. HyperCore read/write integration is planned for about four weeks after mainnet.

Don't add an "Elysium mainnet" network from a third-party site. Kinetiq had not published a mainnet chain ID or RPC as of November 4, 2026. Any site offering one before Kinetiq's docs do is guessing or worse. Chain ID 999 is HyperEVM, not Elysium.

What Elysium is

Hyperliquid has two built-in environments: HyperCore, the exchange engine, and HyperEVM, a smart-contract layer kept deliberately small so it never slows the exchange (see HyperCore vs HyperEVM). HyperEVM's fast blocks carry 3M gas per second. That's fine for ordinary DeFi, and tight for apps that update quotes many times a second.

Elysium is Kinetiq's answer: a separate layer-2 chain that runs its own fast blocks, then settles back to HyperEVM. Think of HyperEVM as a small, secure vault and Elysium as a busy trading hall next door that writes its books into the vault. Kinetiq is the team behind the kHYPE liquid staking token and the Markets by Kinetiq HIP-3 dex.

StackArbitrum Orbit (Nitro/ArbOS), operated with Conduit
Settles toHyperEVM (chain ID 999)
Gas tokenHYPE, native, bridged 1:1 from HyperEVM (no wrapper, no new token)
Block time100 ms canonical blocks; about 300 ms perceived receipt
Throughput target300 Mgas/s (HyperEVM small blocks: 3M gas per second)
Data availabilityAnyTrust committee; automatic fallback to posting full data on HyperEVM
SequencingSingle sequencer at launch, priority-fee ordering, no privileged lanes
ValidationPermissioned at launch; permissionless fraud proofs (Arbitrum BoLD) planned
WithdrawalsOptimistic: claimable on HyperEVM after a challenge period
Escape hatchForced inclusion through the delayed inbox on HyperEVM if the sequencer censors

The headline feature, letting Elysium contracts read live HyperCore order books and send orders to users' own HyperCore accounts through revocable, trade-only agents, is not part of the launch. Kinetiq's docs place it in an ArbOS upgrade about four weeks after mainnet.

DefiLlama's chain named 'Elysium' is Vulcan Forged's Elysium, an unrelated older blockchain. Kinetiq's Elysium is a different network; don't use that chain's data, chain ID or bridges.

How to bridge to Elysium

  1. Get your funds onto HyperEVM. If your HYPE or USDC is on HyperCore (the Hyperliquid trading app), use "Transfer to/from EVM" in the app first. HyperEVM is always the hop between HyperCore and Elysium.
  2. Open the bridge from the official site, elysium.kinetiq.xyz, never from a link in a DM, reply or search ad.
  3. Check the contract addresses your wallet is asked to approve against Kinetiq's contract address list. Mainnet addresses are published at launch; until then only testnet addresses exist.
  4. Keep some HYPE for gas on both sides. Bridge fees are paid in native HYPE.
  5. Withdrawals take time. Coming back to HyperEVM is an optimistic withdrawal: claimable only after the challenge period.
What you're movingRouteHow it works
HYPEHyperEVM to Elysium and backNative value both ways, 1:1, no token contract. Deposits arrive as native gas on Elysium; withdrawals are claimable on HyperEVM after the challenge period.
HyperEVM ERC-20s (for example USDC)HyperEVM to Elysium and backCanonical bridge: the token locks in the gateway on HyperEVM and a 1:1 representation is minted on Elysium, typically within a minute. Permissionless, no issuer action. Withdrawals burn on Elysium and release on HyperEVM after the challenge period.
Elysium-native tokensElysium to HyperEVMMirror bridge: lock on Elysium, mint a 1:1 mirror on HyperEVM, after a one-time two-transaction setup.
To HyperCore spotHyperEVM to HyperCoreHyperEVM is always the hop. Once a token is linked to HyperCore, it moves via Hyperliquid's own Core-EVM transfer (deposit-wallet flow).

Fee-on-transfer and rebasing tokens are not supported by the bridge.

Assistants and search results have already surfaced unofficial sites for Elysium. These are the domains Kinetiq itself links to:

Where sequencer fees go

Kinetiq's announcement sets out how Elysium's sequencer fees will be split:

ShareGoes toDetail
50%KNTQ buybacksOpen-market purchases of KNTQ; Kinetiq says 100% of purchased KNTQ is sent to the Hyperliquid Assistance Fund (burned).
25%BuildersApplications that drive Elysium blockspace usage, for incentives, rebates and liquidity programs.
25%Kinetiq treasuryOperations.

From Kinetiq's 27 August 2026 announcement; the current Elysium docs mention a builders allocation of sequencer revenue but give no percentages. Source: Kinetiq. The Assistance Fund is Hyperliquid's buyback address; see how it works.

Elysium has no token of its own: gas is paid in HYPE. KNTQ is Kinetiq's governance token, and half of sequencer fees fund KNTQ buybacks. Bankless reported on 19 October 2026 that there is no Elysium token or official points program for now. Anyone selling an 'Elysium token' or 'Elysium airdrop' is not Kinetiq.

Why it matters to you

  • If you only trade on Hyperliquid, nothing changes. Perps, spot, HIP-3 and HIP-4 markets stay on HyperCore. Elysium is optional.
  • If you use new apps there, you take on rollup risk. At launch Elysium has a single sequencer, permissioned validation and a data-availability committee. Kinetiq's docs list forced inclusion and the challenge period as user protections.
  • Launch weeks attract scams. Fake bridges, fake tokens and fake "mainnet RPCs" appear before and after every launch. Use only the links above.

What can go wrong: bridged funds can be lost to bugs or to a lookalike bridge; withdrawals are delayed by the challenge period; apps on a brand-new chain may be unaudited; and the launch date and specs can still change, as Kinetiq's docs warn.

Questions people ask

What is Elysium?

Elysium is a general-purpose, high-performance layer-2 chain for Hyperliquid, built by Kinetiq on Arbitrum Orbit, that settles to HyperEVM and uses HYPE as gas. It offers 100 ms blocks and a 300 Mgas/s throughput target, roughly two orders of magnitude more gas per second than HyperEVM, aimed at high-frequency trading, prop AMMs and token launches.

What is the Elysium chain ID?

Testnet: 99801 (RPC https://testnet-rpc.elysium.kinetiq.xyz). Mainnet: not yet published by Kinetiq as of November 4, 2026. Elysium settles to HyperEVM, whose chain ID is 999; don't confuse the two.

How do I bridge to Elysium?

Start from the official site, elysium.kinetiq.xyz, and use its Bridge. HYPE moves 1:1 from HyperEVM as native gas; HyperEVM tokens such as USDC use the canonical bridge (locked on HyperEVM, minted 1:1 on Elysium). Funds on HyperCore must first be moved to HyperEVM. Mainnet bridge contract addresses are published by Kinetiq at launch.

Is there an Elysium token or airdrop?

Elysium has no token of its own: gas is paid in HYPE. KNTQ is Kinetiq's governance token, and half of sequencer fees fund KNTQ buybacks. Bankless reported on 19 October 2026 that there is no Elysium token or official points program for now. Anyone selling an 'Elysium token' or 'Elysium airdrop' is not Kinetiq.

What is the official Elysium bridge?

The bridge linked from elysium.kinetiq.xyz, run on Kinetiq's published contracts (see elysium.kinetiq.xyz/docs/contract-addresses). Community sites such as elysp.com (ElysPump) offer their own bridge front ends; they say they are not operated by Kinetiq, so treat them as third-party apps, not the official bridge.
