Axiom Perpetuals (Hyperliquid)
The Solana memecoin terminal's perps tab runs on Hyperliquid: one of the lowest builder fees around, how funding with SOL works, and what Axiom doesn't document.
Axiom (axiom.trade) is a Solana-first memecoin trading terminal whose Perpetuals tab is powered by Hyperliquid. Axiom's docs say it takes 0.01% per transaction on perps, on top of Hyperliquid's fee, and on November 2, 2026 all of its core-perp and HIP-3 builder volume paid exactly 1 bp. That is about $5.50 per $10,000 of taker volume against $4.50 on the official app.

What Axiom is
Axiom (axiom.trade) is a web trading platform and wallet built mainly for Solana memecoins, with tools such as Pulse, migration buys and sells, wallet tracking and a Twitter monitor. Its docs also cover BSC and Ethereum. Axiom’s Perpetuals tab is “now powered by HyperLiquid”, in Axiom’s words: your orders go to HyperCore, Hyperliquid’s trading engine and order book, and Axiom sends them on your behalf.
You fund perps by converting SOL to USDC on Hyperliquid from inside Axiom, so you don’t need a separate Ethereum or Arbitrum wallet. Wallets are non-custodial, built on Turnkey. DefiLlama has tracked Axiom’s Hyperliquid builder since June 8, 2025. Onchain fills on November 2, 2026 covered both core perps and HIP-3 markets (permissionless perp markets run by deployers who stake 500,000 HYPE).
What it costs
Axiom earns through a Hyperliquid builder fee, an extra charge on each fill. Its docs: “Axiom takes a 0.01% fee per transaction while trading on our platform.”
| Cost | Axiom Perps | Official Hyperliquid app |
|---|---|---|
| Builder fee (perps and HIP-3) | 0.01% (1 bp) | none |
| Taker fee, entry tier, all-in | 0.055% | 0.045% |
| Maker fee, entry tier, all-in | 0.025% | 0.015% |
On $10,000 of taker volume you pay about $5.50 through Axiom ($4.50 to Hyperliquid plus $1.00 to Axiom), against $4.50 on the official app. Hyperliquid’s volume tiers, HYPE-staking discounts and the 4% referral discount apply to the Hyperliquid part only. Run other sizes in the fee calculator.
The docs and the chain agree: on November 2, 2026, 100% of Axiom’s core-perp and HIP-3 builder volume paid exactly 1 bp. Axiom’s perps docs are about a year old, so check the fee line in the app anyway. Axiom’s separate spot fees and cashback tiers apply to its Solana, BSC and Ethereum trading, not to Hyperliquid perps.
How to use it
- Sign up on axiom.trade. A non-custodial Turnkey wallet is created for you.
- Fund it with SOL, then click the SOL-USDC button (top right), choose Swap, and Convert SOL to USDC on Hyperliquid.
- Open the Perpetuals tab and pick a pair.
- Enter the USDC amount and leverage, then click Long or Short.
- Track trades in the Positions, Open Orders and Trades tabs, and withdraw through the Perpetuals withdraw flow.
Risks and limits
- High leverage. Axiom offers up to 50x and its own docs warn that “many traders lose everything by overleveraging”. A small move against you can liquidate the position. Read how perpetual futures work and funding rates first.
- Embedded wallet. Axiom creates the wallet for you. We found no key-export guide in its docs, so learn how to back up or export before depositing a meaningful amount.
- Stale docs. The perps pages haven’t been updated in about a year; confirm fees and leverage in the app.
- Fake apps. Only use axiom.trade. We found no official Axiom mobile app, and the App Store’s “Axiom - Social Trading” (Carret Labs LLC) is a paper-trading app that appears unrelated.
- Region limits. Hyperliquid’s terms restrict the US and Ontario.
Who it suits, and alternatives
Axiom suits Solana memecoin traders who want to hedge or speculate with leverage without moving funds to another app. Its 1 bp fee is among the lowest of any Hyperliquid front end, matched by Insilico Terminal. Based (2.5 bps) adds mobile apps and more order types, and pump.fun is the other memecoin-native option. See best Hyperliquid trading terminals and Hyperliquid front ends compared.
Axiom’s referral program pays 30% of Axiom’s net fee on direct referrals’ trades (3% and 2% on the next two levels). Its docs describe it for Solana, BSC and Ethereum trades and don’t mention perps.
