Insilico Terminal (Hyperliquid)
A multi-exchange pro terminal with advanced order types that also trades Hyperliquid: what it costs, how to connect it, and where your API keys live.
Insilico Terminal is a free, browser-based professional trading terminal that connects to many exchanges, including Hyperliquid perps and spot. Its docs say the builder fee on Hyperliquid is 1 bps (0.01%), and on November 2, 2026 all of its core-perp and HIP-3 builder volume paid exactly that. On $10,000 of taker volume that is about $5.50 against $4.50 on the official app.

What Insilico Terminal is
Insilico Terminal is a professional trading terminal that runs in the browser (as a PWA, with a mobile mode). One interface connects to many centralized exchanges, including Binance, Bybit, OKX, Bitget, Coinbase and BitMEX, and to decentralized ones including Hyperliquid (perps and spot), Apex and Lighter. On Hyperliquid, your orders go to HyperCore, Hyperliquid’s trading engine and order book.
It is built for execution: Chase, Swarm, TWAP, Scale and stop-limit orders, basket trading, a command line with hotkeys, multi-panel layouts, a DOM ladder, smart hedging and “fat finger” protection. It also supports Hyperliquid subaccounts and vaults. DefiLlama has tracked Insilico’s Hyperliquid builder since October 27, 2024. Its fills on November 2, 2026 covered core perps, spot, outcome markets and HIP-3 markets (permissionless perps run by deployers who stake 500,000 HYPE).
What it costs
Insilico’s FAQ says the terminal itself is free; it earns from brokerage-style deals with exchanges. On Hyperliquid it adds a builder fee, an extra charge on each fill. Its docs: “The builder fee on Hyperliquid is 1bps.”
| Cost | Insilico Terminal | Official Hyperliquid app |
|---|---|---|
| Builder fee (perps and HIP-3) | 0.01% (1 bp) | none |
| Taker fee, entry tier, all-in | 0.055% | 0.045% |
| Maker fee, entry tier, all-in | 0.025% | 0.015% |
On $10,000 of taker volume you pay about $5.50 ($4.50 to Hyperliquid plus $1.00 to Insilico), compared with $4.50 on the official app. Hyperliquid’s volume tiers, HYPE-staking discounts and the 4% referral discount apply to the Hyperliquid part only. Try your own volumes in the fee calculator.
The docs match the chain: on November 2, 2026, 100% of Insilico’s core-perp and HIP-3 builder volume paid exactly 1 bp. Spot fills paid almost nothing.
How to use it
- Go to insilicoterminal.com and register with email or Google.
- Open the account menu, choose Add Account > Hyperliquid, and accept Hyperliquid’s terms. If you have no Hyperliquid account yet, deposit USDC from Arbitrum (minimum 5 USDC).
- Name the account, click Connect, and sign the builder-fee approval with your browser wallet, such as MetaMask.
- Optionally add a Hyperliquid API agent key: the API key field takes your main wallet address and the secret takes the agent’s private key.
- Pick an instrument and trade from the execution panel or the command line.
Risks and limits
- Leverage and fast tools. Advanced orders and hotkeys make it easy to size up fast. A liquidation takes your margin. Read how perpetual futures work and funding rates.
- Keys in your browser. Hyperliquid agent secrets and exchange API keys are stored encrypted in your browser (optionally synced with 2FA). Clearing browser data removes them.
- Your responsibility. Insilico’s FAQ says users trade at their own risk and the terminal takes no responsibility for losses from user actions or software bugs.
- Impersonation. Staff never DM or email users. Watch for fake Discord bots such as “Inisilico Whitelist”, and only use insilicoterminal.com.
- Region limits. Hyperliquid’s terms restrict the US and Ontario.
Who it suits, and alternatives
Insilico suits active traders who want serious execution tools and one screen for Hyperliquid plus centralized exchanges. Its 1 bp fee is among the lowest documented builder fees, alongside Axiom. HyperDash (1.5 bps) pairs trading with analytics, and Based (2.5 bps) adds mobile apps. See best Hyperliquid trading terminals and Hyperliquid front ends compared.
