Hyperliquid block explorers compared

Hyperliquid has two layers, and no single explorer covers everything. Which one to open for a trade, a wallet's positions, a vault, a token or an EVM contract, using only explorers Hyperliquid's own docs list.

Updated Fact-checked November 4, 2026 10 sources
Short answer

Hyperliquid's docs list three explorers for HyperCore (trades, orders, vaults, staking): the official one at app.hyperliquid.xyz/explorer, HypurrScan and Flowscan. For HyperEVM (chain ID 999) they list Etherscan's HyperEVMScan, Hyperscan (hyperscan.com) and Owlscan. Only HypurrScan and Flowscan show another wallet's open perp positions; the official explorer shows its transaction history (checked November 4, 2026).

The short answer

Hyperliquid has two layers, and explorers specialise:

  • HyperCore is the trading engine: perps, spot, order books, vaults and staking. Use the official explorer (app.hyperliquid.xyz/explorer), HypurrScan or Flowscan.
  • HyperEVM is the Ethereum-compatible smart-contract chain (chain ID 999). Use HyperEVMScan (built by Etherscan) or Hyperscan (hyperscan.com).

If you want to see what a wallet is holding or trading right now, HypurrScan and Flowscan are the two that show open perp positions. Our wallet checker does the same from Hyperliquid’s API. New to the two layers? Read HyperCore vs HyperEVM.

The official Hyperliquid explorer

Use it for: confirming that a HyperCore transaction went through, straight from the source.

The explorer inside the app at app.hyperliquid.xyz/explorer shows the latest blocks with their proposer and the latest transactions labelled by action, such as placing an order, cancelling, starting a TWAP or deploying a perp. An address page lists that address’s transactions; it does not show balances or open positions. Token pages sit at /explorer/token/<id>. Hyperliquid’s docs say there are no official front-end components for HyperEVM, so this explorer is HyperCore only. The testnet version is at app.hyperliquid-testnet.xyz/explorer.

HypurrScan

Use it for: almost everything on HyperCore, plus a quick look at HyperEVM.

HypurrScan (hypurrscan.io) is a community-built explorer and the most complete for HyperCore. An address page has an overview (spot, lending, vault, staked and EVM balances) and tabs for transactions, holdings, perps, open orders, vaults, staking and lending. The dashboard tracks 24-hour fees, stablecoins on spot, TWAP buy and sell pressure, and the token and HIP-3 deployment auctions. Hyperliquid’s own staking guide links HypurrScan’s staking page. It has a public API and a testnet site at testnet.hypurrscan.io. More in our HypurrScan dossier.

Flowscan

Use it for: reading a trader’s positions and track record, and builder-code data.

Flowscan (flowscan.xyz) is listed as a HyperCore explorer in Hyperliquid’s docs, which also point to its builders dashboard for front-end revenue from builder codes. Address pages show portfolio value, lifetime and unrealized PnL, win rate, leverage and liquidation price, with tabs for positions, open orders, balances, fills, trades, vaults, staking and builders. The site doesn’t say who operates it.

HyperEVMScan

Use it for: HyperEVM contracts, tokens and transactions, especially if you already know Etherscan.

HyperEVMScan (hyperevmscan.io) is Etherscan’s explorer for HyperEVM: Etherscan’s API V2 lists chain ID 999, “HyperEVM Mainnet”, with a free tier. It handles contract verification; Circle’s USDC contract on HyperEVM, which Hyperliquid’s docs link on HyperEVMScan, shows as verified. Hyperliquid’s HyperEVM setup guide lists it first as the block explorer URL for your wallet. It does not show HyperCore activity, so a trader with millions on HyperCore can show an empty balance here.

Hyperscan (hl.eco)

Use it for: HyperEVM activity that touches HyperCore.

hyperscan.com is an HyperEVM explorer branded hl.eco, whose footer says it is “Not affiliated with Hyper Foundation”. Hyperliquid’s docs list it twice, as “Blockscout: www.hyperscan.com” and “Hyperscan: hyperscan.com”; the www address now redirects to the same site. It decodes CoreWriter actions (HyperEVM contracts sending orders or transfers to HyperCore; see CoreWriter and precompiles) and links them across both layers. It also verifies contracts, lets you read and write to them, and lists token approvals you can revoke.

Safety notes

  • Explorers are read-only. None needs your seed phrase or a signature to look something up. A site asking you to connect a wallet or “verify” it to view a transaction is a red flag. Read Hyperliquid scams to avoid.
  • Purrsec is gone. purrsec.com still gets searched, but on November 4, 2026 it showed an unrelated gambling page rather than an explorer, and it isn’t listed in Hyperliquid’s docs. Don’t connect a wallet there.
  • Wallet setup. For HyperEVM, take the chain ID (999), RPC (rpc.hyperliquid.xyz/evm) and explorer URL from Hyperliquid’s docs or our official links page, not from a third-party chain list; at least one public registry maps chain ID 999 to a different network.

How we compared

We included only explorers Hyperliquid’s docs list on their HyperCore tools and HyperEVM tools pages, opened each one on November 4, 2026, and recorded which layer it covers, who runs it, and what an address page shows. We have no commercial relationship with any explorer on this page.

Questions people ask

What is the official Hyperliquid explorer?

Hyperliquid's own explorer is at app.hyperliquid.xyz/explorer. It covers HyperCore only: blocks, transactions by type and an address's transaction history. Hyperliquid's docs say there are no official front-end components for HyperEVM.

How do I see a Hyperliquid wallet's open positions?

Paste the address into HypurrScan (Perps tab) or Flowscan (Positions tab), or into our wallet checker. The official explorer's address page shows transactions, not positions, and HyperEVM explorers show only EVM balances.

How do I check a Hyperliquid transaction?

For a HyperCore action such as an order, transfer or staking change, paste the hash into app.hyperliquid.xyz/explorer or HypurrScan. For a HyperEVM transaction (0x hash on chain ID 999), use HyperEVMScan or hyperscan.com.

What explorer should I add to my wallet for HyperEVM?

Hyperliquid's HyperEVM setup guide lists https://hyperevmscan.io/ first and https://www.hyperscan.com/ second as the block explorer URL, with chain ID 999 and RPC https://rpc.hyperliquid.xyz/evm.

Is Purrsec still working?

When we checked on November 4, 2026, purrsec.com did not serve a Hyperliquid explorer; it showed an unrelated gambling page, and its testnet address returned an error. It is not listed in Hyperliquid's docs. Use one of the explorers above.
