How to use Hyperliquid on your phone

What's official, what isn't, and how to link your phone to a desktop wallet without exposing your seed phrase.

Short answer

Hyperliquid Corp publishes an Android app (xyz.hyperliquid.app) on Google Play, last updated September 9, 2026; Hyperliquid's support guide links to it as an official way to trade. An App Store search on November 4, 2026 found no iOS app from Hyperliquid Corp, so on iPhone use app.hyperliquid.xyz in the browser, link a desktop wallet by QR code, or use a wallet app such as MetaMask or Phantom (which may add its own fee).

All of these trade the same Hyperliquid order books with the same base fees. The difference is the app and whether it adds a builder fee. A builder fee is an extra charge set by the app, up to 0.1% per perps trade and up to 1% on spot sells, which you approve when you first trade there. See builder codes and our front-end comparison.

Android: the official app

Hyperliquid’s support guide lists the Google Play listing for xyz.hyperliquid.app alongside app.hyperliquid.xyz as places “you can trade”. On November 4, 2026 the listing showed:

  • Name: Hyperliquid
  • Developer: Hyperliquid Corp
  • Description: “Trade crypto on a high-performance decentralized blockchain with self-custody”
  • Last updated: September 9, 2026

To install it safely, open the link from Hyperliquid’s own support guide or our official links page rather than searching the Play Store, and check the developer reads Hyperliquid Corp. Search results can include apps with similar names and logos.

We searched the App Store for “Hyperliquid” on November 4, 2026. The results were third-party apps (trackers, wallets and trading apps from other companies). None was published by Hyperliquid Corp. Treat any App Store app claiming to be “the official Hyperliquid app” with suspicion until Hyperliquid’s own docs link to it.

That leaves three good routes on iPhone:

  1. The website. Open Safari, type app.hyperliquid.xyz and bookmark it. You can log in with email (6-digit code) or connect a wallet app through WalletConnect.
  2. Link your desktop wallet (below). Good if your funds sit in a desktop wallet like Rabby or MetaMask.
  3. A wallet app. Hyperliquid’s docs list MetaMask and Phantom on iOS and Android, and Dexari. Check what fee the app adds before trading.

This lets your phone trade for the address in your desktop wallet without ever putting your seed phrase on the phone. The steps from Hyperliquid’s docs:

  1. On your computer, connect your wallet extension (for example Rabby or MetaMask) at app.hyperliquid.xyz.
  2. On your phone, open app.hyperliquid.xyz, tap Connect and choose Link Desktop Wallet. Allow camera access when asked.
  3. On your computer, click the PC-and-mobile icon at the top right of the navigation bar and sign the pop-up in your wallet. A QR code appears.
  4. Scan the QR code with your phone.

Your phone can now trade for that account. Hyperliquid’s docs don’t list which actions the linked phone can sign, so if a deposit or withdrawal doesn’t work from the phone, do it from the desktop wallet.

Before your first trade on mobile

  • Set the referral code first. Open app.hyperliquid.xyz/referrals on your phone and enter a code for 4% off fees on your first $25M of volume. Our code is on the referral code page. If you trade inside a wallet app, check whether it lets you set a Hyperliquid referral code; the discount is tied to your address, not the app.
  • Lower your leverage. Small screens make it easy to mis-tap a slider. Check the leverage and size on the confirm screen before you press Confirm.
  • Use a stop-loss. Mobile connections drop. A take-profit/stop-loss order sits on the chain and triggers even if your phone is off. See order types.

Common mistakes

  • Installing a lookalike app. Check the developer name on Android, and don’t trust an iOS app on the strength of its name or logo.
  • Typing a seed phrase into a mobile app to “connect”. Hyperliquid’s QR link exists so you never need to.
  • Retrying an order over and over on a bad connection. Hyperliquid rejects actions that don’t reach the chain within 15 seconds (“Action already expired”). If you turn that protection off in settings, every retry may go through once the connection returns, which can open a position you didn’t intend.
  • Not noticing a wallet app’s builder fee. It’s charged on every trade, in addition to Hyperliquid’s own fee.

If something goes wrong

  • WalletConnect prompts don’t appear in your mobile wallet: Hyperliquid’s docs say the session has probably gone stale. Disconnect, remove the site from your wallet’s connected apps, then reconnect.
  • Coinbase Wallet won’t connect on mobile: Hyperliquid’s docs note known connection problems and suggest the Coinbase Chrome extension on desktop instead.
  • The QR code won’t scan: make sure you signed the pop-up on desktop first, and that both devices are connected to the same address.
