Trade Anthropic (pre-IPO) on Hyperliquid
Anthropic isn't public yet. Three HIP-3 deployers list perps on it, and they don't use the same units.
Yes, through pre-IPO perpetuals. trade.xyz's xyz:ANT and Paragon's para:ANTH track the expected price of one Anthropic share, while Entropy's io:ANTH is quoted in valuation: a price of $1 means a $1 billion fully diluted valuation, so 1,500 means $1.5 trillion. None gives you shares or IPO allocation. In the 24 hours to 2026-11-04 10:16 UTC, io:ANTH traded $54.0M with $113M open interest at a mark of $1,867.80 (Hyperliquid API).

Three Anthropic markets, two different units
| Market | Deployer | Quoted as | Margin | Price limits (before listing) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
xyz:ANT | trade.xyz | Expected price of 1 Anthropic Class A share (expected Nasdaq: ANT) | Cross | ±50% per band, 3 re-anchors per direction, from a $125 start |
io:ANTH | Entropy | Fully diluted valuation, $1 = $1 billion | Isolated | Mark and oracle clipped to 300–4,200 ($300B–$4.2T) |
para:ANTH | Paragon | Expected value of 1 Anthropic share | Isolated | ±10% per band, 15 re-anchors per direction, from a $110 start |
The live cards above show each market’s price, volume and funding. Don’t compare io:ANTH with the other two directly: on November 4, 2026 the per-share markets sat near $115 while io:ANTH sat near 1,800 ($1.8 trillion), and those can describe broadly the same view of the company, depending on the share count you assume. Entropy chose valuation units because private-round share counts are often undisclosed, and private valuations are reported in dollars, not per share.
How a pre-IPO perp is priced
There’s no public share price to copy, so each deployer uses its own method:
- trade.xyz (
xyz:ANT) starts from a discretionary reference price ($125) that it says is “not a forecast”. After that, the oracle is a 30-minute moving average driven by the order book’s impact prices, the same internal mechanism its stock perps use on weekends. Funding is damped to 1% of the normal calculation (a 0.005 multiplier), so the perp can trade far from its oracle without punishing funding. - Entropy (
io:ANTH) blends an internal price (a 5-minute moving average of the order-book mid) with an external aggregate of private-market sources such as other derivatives, private marks, funding rounds and secondary trades. The deeper the two-sided book, the more weight goes to the internal price. - Paragon (
para:ANTH) runs an internal pre-listing oracle driven by the order book, from a $110 launch reference, with a configurable discovery time constant that can shorten as the listing approaches.
In all three, the price is mostly what traders on Hyperliquid are willing to pay. It can sit far from the eventual IPO price, from analyst estimates or from Anthropic’s last private round.
What happens at the IPO
trade.xyz’s spec lists an anticipated listing date of November 20, 2026, for reference only, with a grace period to January 19, 2027. At listing:
xyz:ANTconverts to a standard trade.xyz stock perp on the listed shares, typically from the first regular session, with normal external pricing and funding. That’s what happened to SpaceX.io:ANTHswitches at the first official opening trade to share price × fully diluted share count ÷ 1 billion. Entropy fixes the share count once, from the final prospectus (or the last amended S-1), and never updates it, so its implied market cap may differ from what data providers show.para:ANTHmoves from Pre-Listing to Listed and adopts external pricing.
The switch from internal to external pricing can move the mark in one step. If you’re near your liquidation price, that step can liquidate you.
If the IPO slips or never happens
trade.xyz can trigger “alternative settlement” after the grace period; by default it settles to the market’s time-weighted average price over its whole life, and an acquisition or other transaction can set a different price. Entropy settles io:ANTH to a 6-month TWAP if Anthropic hasn’t listed by August 18, 2028, or to a 30-day TWAP if it issues an early-settlement notice. Either way, your exit price is decided by a rule, not by you.
The extra risks
Beyond the usual leverage and liquidation risk: thin books (especially para:ANTH), wide spreads, mark prices that small orders can move, discretionary deployer decisions at settlement, and, for Entropy, a long restricted-jurisdiction list that includes the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, Singapore and most of the EU. Ventuals, an earlier deployer, ran an Anthropic market (vntl:ANTHROPIC) that is now delisted; ignore its published price.

How to trade it
- Check you're allowed to. Hyperliquid's terms restrict the United States, Ontario and other places, and trade.xyz's terms bar US persons; Entropy publishes its own restricted list, which also includes Canada, the UK, Australia, Singapore and most of the EU. If you're in a restricted place, stop here.
- Set up a Hyperliquid account with a fee discount. Connect a wallet at app.hyperliquid.xyz and set a referral code before your first trade: our code gives 4% off fees on your first $25M of volume. Full walkthrough: how to start trading on Hyperliquid.
- Deposit USDC. Every market here is margined and settled in USDC. See how to deposit USDC to Hyperliquid.
- Open the market. Use trade.xyz (its link applies the same Hyperliquid referral) or the official Hyperliquid app, which lists HIP-3 markets alongside core perps. Search for
xyz:ANTorio:ANTHorpara:ANTH. Each HIP-3 dex keeps its own margin, separate from core perps, so the app may ask you to move USDC into that dex first. - Choose margin mode and leverage. Some HIP-3 markets are isolated-only (the margin mode row above says which). Leverage is a ceiling, not a target: at 10x, a 10% move against you wipes out your margin, and liquidation comes earlier than that.
- Place a small first order and set a stop. Limit orders pay the lower maker fee. Watch the funding rate: you pay or receive it every hour you hold the position.
Risks
- It's a perp, not the shares. You get cash-settled price exposure in USDC. No share ownership, votes or dividends, and the price you trade can drift from the underlying, especially when its home market is closed.
- The deployer runs the oracle. trade.xyz and Entropy (EntropyIO) and Paragon publish the price that drives funding and liquidations, sets leverage limits and can halt and settle a market. Each HIP-3 deployer stakes 500,000 HYPE that validators can vote to slash if the deployer's actions harm the protocol, which is an incentive, not insurance for your position.
- There is no public price to anchor to. Before the IPO the price comes from this order book (plus, on Entropy, private-market data). It can sit far from any IPO price, and conversion at listing can move the mark in one step. If the IPO doesn't happen, the market settles to an average price under the deployer's rules.
- Liquidation. If your equity falls below maintenance margin (half the initial margin at max leverage), the position is closed at market. With cross margin, a loss here can take collateral from your other cross positions.
- Funding cuts both ways. Rates change every hour. A positive rate costs longs money every hour the position is open; over weeks that adds up.
- Thin books. Smaller markets can have wide spreads; big orders and liquidations move the price.
Nothing here is investment advice or a price forecast. Leveraged perps can lose more than you expect, fast.
Questions people ask
Can you buy Anthropic stock on Hyperliquid?
No. You can trade pre-IPO perpetuals that track where the market expects Anthropic to be valued or priced, but they are cash-settled derivatives: no shares, no IPO allocation and no claim on the company.
Why is io:ANTH priced so much higher than xyz:ANT?
Different units. Entropy quotes io:ANTH in valuation ($1 = $1B fully diluted), so a price of 1,800 means $1.8 trillion. trade.xyz's xyz:ANT and Paragon's para:ANTH are quoted per expected share.
What happens to the Anthropic perp when Anthropic IPOs?
trade.xyz expects to convert xyz:ANT into a normal stock perp on the listed share once regular trading starts. Entropy switches io:ANTH to share price × a fixed fully diluted share count ÷ 1 billion at the first opening trade. Paragon moves para:ANTH to Listed status and external pricing.
What if Anthropic never lists?
Each deployer has fallback rules. trade.xyz can settle after a 60-day grace period past its anticipated listing date, by default to the market's full-life TWAP. Entropy cash-settles io:ANTH to a 6-month TWAP if there's no listing by August 18, 2028, or to a 30-day TWAP after an early-settlement notice.
When is the Anthropic IPO, according to trade.xyz?
trade.xyz's pre-IPO spec lists an anticipated listing date of November 20, 2026 with a grace period to January 19, 2027, and says the date is for reference only and may differ significantly.
Can I trade this on Hyperliquid from the US?
No. Hyperliquid's terms restrict the United States (and Ontario, among others), and trade.xyz's terms bar US persons. ICE said on October 29, 2026 that it is backing a US version of trade.xyz's markets, subject to CFTC approval; nothing is live for US users yet.
